    would guys possibly know whats causing this sound? not too sure what exactly is causing it, but it started yesterday after the meet here at Eglin. Im thinkin there dirt or mud on a belt or fan or something that causing it to make that noise, Jason would you know?

    You mean since YOUR lack of properly torqueing the bolts could have easily totaled your truck or put you in a hospital. I make jokes about stuff like this because we have ALL screwed up in our time in ways like this that could have been bad, but we must remember those things so we can learn from them. So I have no intention of NOT messing with you about it any time soon. Just to warn you. ;)


    EDIT: there is an hourly at my shop, I ASSUMED (my fault) he knew how to install a crank pulley after we have just resealed a Tacoma timing cover. Apparently he didn't realize he needed to line up the keyway. He ruined the crank pulley and the keyway and damn near cost the shop a crankshaft. (guess who had to fix it for free thanks to him, this guy) To this day I call him "cranky" so he doesn't forget, but you better believe that boy learned from that mistake and it wont happen again.

    velcro might be your pulley's. my neighbor had a similair problem from going through mud and water. he had to change out all his pulley's (idler pulley's his was an o8) he is selling it by the way for 21k. 4x4 sport long bed with spacers and air bags.
