the only problem with real hmmwv tires is they are 16.5 and say military oz on them which is bad ju ju if your military to have on your pov.no matter if you buy them or aquire them its still bad ju ju

 

I would snag a set if it weren't so much damn work to get them to fit. Are they surplus?

What exactly do you mean? It seems like a lot of people run them.

 

i know for us these tires are hard to get when we need them we ride ours till they just cant go anymore. maybe the army throws away good tires but i think this may not be a good idea.

well me being military i have to drive in and out the front security check everyday they look and notice things, and often search things with no cause whatsoever. there is a thing called "Fraud Waste and Abuse" if you so much as take a pack of staples from work and get caught its automatic levenworth time. The same rules apply to civilians in possesion of unauthorized military assets. all im saying is you would techniclly be in possesion of stolen govt property if say these people were to be getting all of these in a manor that is underhanded. wether you know about it or not. im just saying tires that say military oz off of hmmwvs may not be a smart investmentin my opinion.

 

I see, from what I understand they get the tires when they get a certain age.

The backspacing is waaay wrong plus they're 8 lug. You can get them recentered though....it costs more.

Na something cheap I think on the pirate 4x4 they had 36 inch one that would be a better thing for me to try to fit
