Well I should read up more I guess because I have no idea what the difference is between them, which one is used for what or even which is easier.

 

There is a HUGH shipyard in JAX! I've worked there before. Stand at the gate and ask for lessons. Most will teach for moat drugs lol

 

There are several ship yards. Pretty weird for me

I'll be there for two days in august but my truck will be at a shop there so I'm not sure how far i can go but I'm more than willing to try the shipyard idea haha

Ill sell you mine. I need to upgrade. I have the Hobart mvp 210. Ive put some hrs on it. good machine for 3 months old lol. About 3 twelve lb spools a weeks

 

I have no clue about buying a welder.
What does that thing cost?

 

Hobart is a good welder and I believe new they run around 700 - 800
