originaly thought about using those for the simplicity, but it's harder to fine tune the suspension without the extra link. you also get a ton of pinion swing if you start going fast and/or jumping. pinion stays nice and level if you're just crawling, but not so much with speed.

 

So you're going to do a "3-link" with Panhard?

I'm gonna do a flatbed/tube bed setup. A linked rear will come in the future but not anytime soon.

 

it's still up in the air as to the sequence, but i figure if i'm doing a tube bed and need a cage for the shocks, might as well jsut chop the back of the frame off and do it all at once.

 

I can't decide on if I want to keep my bed or not.

I'd be content with something like this

 

i want to contour the current lines of the truck with tube, to keep it flowing with a more refined look than a flat bed. plan is to make filler pannels out of UHMW. it's a first gen, and doesn't contour the lines like i want to, but it certainly got the wheels turning.
doubt i'll dovetail it like they did though.

nice, i remember seeing that picture, but haven't seen any more progress shots since. i really like that style, i just want to make sure i still have good access to storage.

 

If that rear tire is on a swingout that would be awesome

 

If I do that i will build a trailer. If I keep the bed I'll just get a bed rack.
