No there were really overpriced. I went to shooters on university and they had really good deals.

 

That's interesting. You'd think with all the vendors in one place it would be competitive.

Hmm you just lifted your taco right? I remember went I put the 1st lift on my truck, I had the same VIB around the same MPH, but Toytec Axle shims took care of that right away. But It may or may not be the same thing you were talking about, just my .02

 

Yeah i am just going to go get some washers from home depot or lowes and put them on the carrier bearing and it should take care of it.

Hey Jason, nothing much today. Been pretty boring except for some snow earlier around 5. How'd the install go with Ryan's mods?

 

Lol it was nice and long. Took about 6 hours for the bumper, springs, shocks, and rear brake lines.

 

Very nice! That's not bad time-wise considering how much stuff you two installed. Did ya run into any snags?

 

Likewise for me on being a boring day. I just put my mower back together but other than that sat around.

It was a late one. I got home around 1:30 but we finished everything for the most part.

It was surprisingly smooth. A couple little things here and there of course but with a little innovation and using the right parts everything went on fairly easily.

 

That's good to hear... Now I just can't wait to see the pics...

 

I'm sure they'll be plenty when he gets the chance.

I was just thinking, you think a bottle jack, some wood, and my truck frame would have gotten the leaf spring bushings in? We would have missed out on the fun of destroying your mallet but it may have been easier.

 

The install was great no real problems. The biggest thing was putting the bushings in. That turned into a huge pain!! My rubber mallet is toast now. The brakes were alittle bit of a pain today trying to bleed them. But all in all its great to have it almost complete.

I know i am slacking on the photos. I will take her out and get photos tomorrow. Maybe hannah park has some nice areas where i can get some good shots. I really need to repaint my wheels since they got scratched up from the tire install and the new weights on it.

 

I think i would have lifted your truck off the ground trying to get those things in.

 

probably but I would think the ~2500+ pounds of the front end is more force than we could produce with your mallet. We may have to try it next mod day if anybody gets new leafs.

 

Lol i hope to never do them again. Kind of a pain. But i guess it makes my truck look better. I cant believe how much higher it is. I have to jump to get in. Lisa tried to get in it today and had to pull her self in with the o shit bar. lol

 

haha it is quite the leap. Has Ava had the chance to try it out?

 

HAHA yeah while i was bleeding the brakes she was out there with me. I let her get in when i test drove it around the first time and she almost didnt make it. Than should wouldnt get out of my truck so i let her sit in there while i was bleeding them again. i had to drag her out.

 

That wouldn't have felt good for her to miss. She was probably scared of the jump down.
