    are those arb ones supposed to stay plugged in? or do they run whenever you have the car on? or do they automatically keep everything cold without being plugged in?

    They only chill while powered. So they stay powered all the time.

    keep them plugged in, theyll cycle on and off even if the car is off. low amp draw so dont worry about your battery

    I'd be worried about the battery if you're not running an aftermarket battery setup. The stock batteries are garbage in these trucks.

    That why I'm building a trailer to go on a long overland expedition

    And they have a integrated battery protection system that you set it up (low-med-high) that when you truck battery is running low fridge will automatically shutoff before your battery die and you can still start your truck

    That why I run a optima yellow top on the truck and a blue top on the trailer for fridge lights ,water pump ,cellphone chargers etc
