yeah had some issues with the school there so i had to go some ware i could get my classes done

ok well next summer bring out the 85 to moab

ware are they at? ive never even heard of them

You were saying that you aren't fond of the snorkels but would it be a feasible option to run the intake through the firewall into the cab? You may even be able to figure something out so you can cap the cab intake when you are on the street.

 

Haha, I don't think I want to do that. I've seen guys in the big turbo cars put there intercoolers where the passenger seat used to go.

 

Understandable. Apparently a lot of guys are having trouble finding a solution. Some say one of these helps.

Yeah I saw a video of somebody running it dry and it ran for a while. Too bad the whole thing got wet. I was thinking maybe just rubber band a piece of cardboard to the front when you wheel but I guess that wouldn't work.



Do you think that after I get the bumper and winch mounted up some 5100's set at .85 will get me back to stock and maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch higher? I don't want to be a low rider but not too sure I want to drop a grand on new coil overs at the moment.

 

I think with a bumper and a winch you will only be nose heavy ~150 lbs. Is the billies at .85 only .85" of lift?

 

I guesstimate closer to 190 lbs. The winch is almost 90 and the bumper is probably over 100. Yeah .85 is the lift over stock I would think that would be enough to at least offset the extra weight if not I could put them at 1.75. Do you think that's a good route to go until at least until I decide to cough up the money for Icons or the like?

 

I don't even know why you need the Icons. Just get the setup you're going to be happy with from the start, or else you're just going to open up another can of worms.

 

That's true to. I've never had a problem with stock so I'm sure the 5100's will be more than enough for me. It's not like I fly through the trails anyways. Thanks for saving me some dough

 

The billies only have 0, .85 and 1.75? I would just do a measurement after the tires, before the bumper/winch. Check ride height, put it on then check ride height again then crank them up accordingly.

 

Correct on the settings plus 2.5. That's a good idea. The tires will go on last though but that doesn't matter I can just measure from the center of the rim to the bottom of the fender.

On a different subject, have you ever had Maggie Moo's better batter? I'm having some right now and this stuff is the shit. It really does taste like cake batter .
