BTW, here's a poser for you @Scooter WCT , What weighs more in stock condition, a 1998 Tacoma Xtra Cab V6 Manual 4WD or a 2001 4Runner SR5 4WD V6? And by how much? The research I've done has yielded inconclusive results. (Right now, I'm pretty sure if I put the OGT and Natty on the scales to compare, the OGT would be significantly heavier, but I'm curious about stock weights.)

 

Idk about that anymore I have 33s a locker and I'm getting some total chaos uppers soon

 

Is her Jeep 4wd?

 

I didn't think they made 2WD jeeps since the YJ. Might be wrong though.

 

I know the J/K models had two wheel drive jeeps.

 

You can do a lot of things with 33s and a locker, but at the end of the day, you're still 2wd.

 

Pretty sure that's an old box Bronco though, John. Could be an FJ40 though.

K, just thought you might know a guru you could ask. Everything I looked at, surprisingly, said the 4Runner is heavier, but nothing agreed on how much the actual curb weight was. I guess it's not so surprising though, even though it's a shorter wheelbase there is more roof and glass, not to mention doors.

 

It would seem to me that the 4Runner would be heavier, there's more metal.

 

But it's about 19" shorter which means less frame. I guess one way to find out would be to have a tug of war between the OGT in 2WD and Natty in 4WD with the center diff locked and have Kenny and Ryan Wood in the back with Timbo in the front (to compensate for the OGT's armor and heavier tires/wheels). Being heavier, with lower gears, and having an automatic, she should pull the OGT all over the parking lot...unless the OGT was in 2Lo, then it might be different (or not since the T4R has low range too).
