:notsure: Good for him, even a broken clock can be right twice a day. I'm not seeing the point here. :luvya:

Tell you what, when I rip the sidewall out of my bias ply tires more times than you have your radials, then I might entertain reconsidering my opinion. So far it's 0-1, my favor.

I seen those for sale at a local gun show this weekend. Cool looking, but while watching the video the guy had going they appeared very weak not even close to a real flashbang. In all seriousness my son had flashbangs from when he played airsoft that used those little CO2 canisters for BB guns and they seemed way louder.

Anybody in here good with transmissions? 2015 Tahoe 6L80 losing pressure after startup. Starts at 85psi and then works down to 20psi. Will go in gear with additional throttle but will not engage/roll when shifted in reverse or forward.

But really though, interco always dicks around with their releases so don't hold your breath. I think the skinnier 36s would be a good substitute. More ground clearance will do more for capability than tire width.... In my opinion of course

I probably jinxed the hell out of myself with that last post, lol.

I think 36x12.50s are a solid Plan B. Just worried that I might end up with the same problem I had with the Lincoln Locker if I go with 36s, but then it's entirely possible I could have that problem with 35s too.

When I was in Longview, TX a while back a guy had a Hudson Hornet for sale for $1500, including the trailer it was sitting on. The body looked cleaner than that Studebaker, but lord only knows what it would have cost to get it rolling on its own power...

:frusty: Seems like everything I do to the OGT anymore is backing up. Put the new 883 Coilovers on today and, while it might be my imagination, I might have a slight rake (with another 100+ lbs to add for the winch)...and I still have the :censored::censored::censored: vibration. Seemed a teensy bit better...maybe...but it's still mostly there. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with my LCA bushings, so I didn't replace them, but I guess that's all that's left to try. I do know for a fact that I lost some droop with the 883s. The UBJ doesn't hit the spring anymore at full droop. I figure it's all to the good though, to keep my CV angles at a minimum for the bigger tars.

Finally had an insurance adjuster come by to assess the hail damage from a few weeks ago. I didn't think it was that bad. I guess I was wrong. Most of these I hadn't noticed (thank goodness for a white truck).

RF fender - 3 nickel sized dents
    R bedside - 4 quarter sized dents
LF fender - 22 quarter sized dents
LF door - 10 quarter sized dents
LR door - 6 quarter size dents
L bedside - 42 quarter sized dents, one large dent
L A-pillar & roof rail - 42 quarter sized dents, one large dent
L cab corner panel - 4 quarter sized dents
Hood - no count, recommends replacement
Roof - 170 quarter sized dents, one large dent

Nah. They gave me the assessment and a check to get it fixed. I'm just debating on whether or not to bother fixing it. None of the damage is that noticeable (again, white truck for the win). My brother does paintless dent repair so I'm going to send him the assessment to look over and see what he recommends.

Replaced the OGT's LCAs today. Haven't taken her out on the interstate since I haven't got her aligned yet, but I suspect from the test drive I did around the block the vibration is still present. So I'm trying a "Hail Mary" and ordered a new set of bushings for my rear leafs, both for the front eye and for the shackles, bottom and top. I'm getting really sick of chasing this vibration issue and I'm running out of shit to replace. :bananadead:

    So far I've eliminated:

--The rear driveshaft (and front since it doesn't turn anyway unless the hubs are locked)
    --the rear axle shafts
    --the rear third member
    --the tires and wheels
--the upper and lower ball joints
    --the LCAs
--the wheel bearings (front and back)
    --the rear brakes
    --the front coilovers
--the steering rack bushings looked okay upon visual inspection when I had the rack loose to replace the LCAs

I'm thinking about swapping my rear shocks from one side to the other when I replace the leaf spring bushings. Maybe the exhaust cooked the right one and damaged it internally. Not sure why that would cause a vibration, but apparently I can't rule anything out I haven't addressed already.

Anybody got any ideas about where else to look? Have I mentioned I hate shotgun troubleshooting?:frusty:

I haven't read all your issues, but is it constant or just at certain speeds? I ask b/c I didn't see the needle bearing on the list and I had that issue on front left axle. Vibration went away in 4wd, came back in 2wd.

Just put swampers on and let the tires make your vibration issue go away. Or just blame the tires at that point.

It starts to get really bad at about 65 MPH and goes away at 80 MPH. It wouldn't be a needle bearing because I have manual hubs so nothing is turning up there during normal pavement driving. I'm also not feeling it in the steering wheel so much as the seat.

It may come down to that. I really wanted it to at least run smooth on radials so I could blame any vibes on the bias plies. I've never really had any serious issues with Swampers riding bad after they warmed up until the LTBs, which Interco told me was most likely because the LTBs were made with a harder compound. I figure the SX or SX2 would probably ride better...at least the set of SXs I had on my YJ before I went to Boggers rode great (so did the Boggers for that matter).

Anyway, after I rebush the rear springs, if that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to throw in the towel and learn to live with it. It's mainly a trail rig anyway so I guess a smooth ride on the pavement isn't all that important.
