Tacoma is bae but those F-250's make me feel a certain kind of way. How do the two compare off road?

If you haven't already, take a look at Last Line of Defense on YouTube. He's a Tacoma guy but recently kitted out an F250. I think he's done some comparisons.

We're thinking of a trip down from PA to Ocala National Forest for new-years. What's the story with dispersed camping there? Is it reasonable to find spots or do I need some advanced knowledge of where to go?

That's super cool, you guys should come! Ocala National Forest is pretty substantial and has a nice checkerboard of forest roads running through it. You'll also be going during the dry season. You shouldn't have trouble finding a suitable dispersed camp spot.

    Cool.

We're brining at least 2 trucks, and kids/dog. Looking at the map there are some ATV trails, worth bringing quads or dirt bikes?

There's plenty of OHV trails in Ocala. My vote is yes but check out some youtube ride alongs to make sure they're the type of trails you'd want to ride.

Not sure when you are coming ,but it may be hunting season. Hunters frown on quads and dirt bikes. Keep a eye out for black bears and check out the springs.

Can you secure a chain or strap to the front (wheel well) edge of the bumper?

If so, then chain a hi-lift jack to the tree, and the other end to the bumper and use the hi-lift to bend it back out.

Or find a body shop with a frame straightening machine to pull it back out.

I'm sure the tree will be perfectly fine. No need to fix it. :D

Are you still depending on that rear camera?

BTW, Those Nitto Trail Graps you sold me are back in service again. Had to temporarily remove the heavy baby Swampers in favor of fuel economy and wear and tear on other stuff like brakes now that I'm putting more miles on the T4R.
