Only social media I regularly get on now is Instagram. I get tired of the respective algorithmic stuff that pulls up everywhere now

Most of my progress and pics are posted on FB these days. I'm only still on there for messenger mostly. I've been more into the older pickup stuff still. I just recently put a new windshield in my 81 pickup

I do love my trailer though lol

I just realized I never replied lol, sorry about that. She's been great! Still going strong. I finally nailed down my mysterious transfer case leak I had for so many years. Ended up being my tcase front output seal being located incorrectly in its housing. Got some plans in the future but I gotta focus on other stuff first. Plans for the future include a 4 door conversion, 4.7s in the cases, selectable lockers, and maybe even a custom camper like the old Winnebagos and Dolphins. I need to also rebuild my rear case as it keeps wanting to pop out of low range even after a new HD detent spring.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
This group use to wheel and camp a ton. The good old days. My old runner has been sitting for almost 3 years with a 2/3 done motor swap. I thinking hard about selling it all at a loss to someone who wants to finish it.

i'm running out of space though lol. Yeah there's the big area to the right but the rental place likes using that area for snow removal pileup. I have my Tacoma, my 80, my trailer, my tan 81/it's topper, and the 4wd chassis for the 81.

Once my debt is paid off next year I'll be looking at buying land and building a house. At a minimum I want 5 acres

ehhh, "build" is more of an overstatement lol. This is going to be a stock style 4x4 setup. Basically swapped the cab/bed/engine over to the 4wd chassis once I'm done rebuilding and cleaning up the chassis.

I often contemplated if I got a older hilux if I keep it stock or have it as a off road rig. You will have the best of both worlds

For a 43 year old truck, she cleans up pretty nicely. Got my topper hard mounted on and all pressure washed inside/out. Although I think I may get some 3/8 riv nuts as it's a PITA to get the bolts tightened from the inside. Whoever owned the truck previously had drilled holes in the bed rails, so I already have spots to hard mount everything thankfully

Sometimes stock is better! It's nice not having an over the top rig haha

looking at moving from NC to FL

looks like FL might have more of what I want
I'm told the major cities vary from each other greatly

anyone done this or have any thoughts?
I'm a mechanic so I would be bringing that with me if anyone needs their truck worked on

one of the chief selling points for me is this:
    1. the city I am looking at in particular, states (Google) the average rent is exactly same as where I'm at now
    2. the pay however, seems to go up. Same job, offered a more reasonable amount
    3. there is said to be growth there overall, not just one industry

for example, in NC, there is said to be growth
but that growth is said to be strictly within banking, which seems headquartered here, and potentially in no way relevant to anyone else including myself,
as I am not in banking.
NC is also said to rank dead last in what it's like to be a worker, wages, etc.
I definitely see that. I've seen that before back when I lived in CO which at that time, also ranked either dead last, or 2nd to last.
