    Haha I ended up driving around out there for a bit yesterday too... Just didn't go down trail 16. That is insane that a 2wd would even attempt that trail, he must not have know what he got himself into until it was too late.

    Well, all I can say is that spot on 16 was wet, slick and deep. I made it through okay, but there was no way I'd be able to pull that guy out of that hole he was in.
    I was in 4H - auto LSD and running the stock Rugged Fails. Just like at the meet.

    How hard would the conversion be?
    Been poking around and haven't found too much as far as a wrecked 99 4x4...
    Transfer cases off ebay alone are between $250-400

    It doesn't have to be a 99 Fink. As far as I know it's been the same since 97 or 98 up to 04. I can't remember if it was the second or third year they did away with manual hubs and the manual hubs would probably even work on your truck but don't quote me on that.

    My 93 has the manual locking hubs.
    How about a 4runner? There's tons of wrecked ones. Think the driveshafts and transfer cases are close to the same?

    Thanks. I still need to put some more bars across where the bottle will sit and the welder then find something to put on the bottom shelf. Handles need to be made, wheels for it, and then a chain for the bottle. Dang it, I thought I was close to being done but now that I type it all out it sounds like more.

    I don't know if it's lower grade metal or what but it kept blowing through. I put it on the second lowest setting and still managed to blow through so I had to stitch the whole thing. It's strong though, held my weight in the middle and even all my weight where the bottle goes so I'm not too worried about it.

    Ryan(rmb) I got some pics of you flexing out in that spot on my photobucket or were you looking for specific ones?

    my father-in-law calls that metal O-2thin(joke. but not really)......dont be afraid to use the lowest setting.....and make your "little circles" faster.

    haha, I was already on the setting for 20 gauge so I figured it wouldn't get any penetration if I went lower.
