Will, how are you liking the plasti-dip? I just gotta pick some up and my grille, rear bumper, flares, and lower valence will be black. I'm still debating on doing my wheels. I want to change them up a bit and have all black Moto Metal 951's

So far I like it a lot. I think the badges will hold up great, the grill I'm not too sure about. We will see after a little time passes. The wheels will look sick but idk how well it will hold up. The main problem with this stuff is if a little piece gets scratched off the whole thing will start coming off from there. And i can see the finish on the wheels getting scratched off easily. Its great if you want to test out the look and then go back later and actually paint them.

Ohh ya ive seen that before. That could look good, I'll have to think about it. I should start working on bumpers and sliders in a few weeks when tax season is over and that bumper will be coming off anyways.

 

I'm not doing the whole thing, Just the inner part thats grey on mine because it's an 09. And the lower lip.

That will look good, and it's different than most...

That was my line of thought, I can't bring myself to rattle can the lower valance on a truck this new... so plastidip it was... I may do something more permanent later

Got the paint today to bhlm wire and some plasti dip to try it out, any last words of advice before I follow viets how to thread?

 

Dont use cardboard it catches fire
I used a regualr square pan and wrapped it in aluminum foil and then layed a damp cloth on top of that. No problems

no seriously. when i use it it worked fine then i loaned it out to you and now i tried to use it on my buddys titans coils and its leaking oil out of the bottom where it doesnt have any connections

 

Sorry but I seriously didnt break it. We tried it on mine and it didnt compress right. We took mine to Pep Boys and had them compress my coils and shocks together. If you dont believe me ask John Ward, Jason, and Ryan

 

have any of you guys powder coated your rims? or painted them?

 

i called jason he said he was working on the back of the truck
