Sure, who needs a gas tank anyways? That would be pretty slick though to have a super flexy rear to make up for the ifs but still have ifs for the quicker trails. It would be a potent combo especially with a front lt kit.

 

you just named my dream setup. sort of

4x4 lt front, with a trailing arm 4-link setup in the rear. the trailing arms take away a little ground clearance, but they're so beefy that they're essentially moving sliders.

don't know how they do it, but trail gear always has sweet prices on real high end stuff.

gotta factor in cost for a bed cage and coilovers too though.

hah, they probably weigh enough to need a v8, or some pretty good gear ratios.

you watch KOH this year? they streamed it live on their website. i just sat in the library and watched it for hours....amazing race.

I watched a little bit here and there. It was hard not to read all the stupid comments and everybody bitchin that they wanted the finish line.

 

haha, i remember watching that part live.....they had cameras at that spot the entire race. only a very small number of people made it up that part without a winch. at times there were 10 trucks lined up waiting to winch over it.

tacomas have an ungodly amount of aftermarket support, but it's still nothing compared to jeep

 

seriously if I can build a trail rig I would build a XJ
