    That's great!

I wonder how much of that extra weight is mud. 500lbs doesn't sound like too much considering all you've done to it.

My truck is a dog on the highway with the boat in tow. I took it across town a couple of weekends ago and got 13.3 mpg that tank. Had to floor it a number of times to get on the highway. Also had the ac on full and 4 people in it. Just wait until you get some meatier tires and then see how much slower it is.

Girls piss me off. They confuse the hell out of me. They say one thing but do the opposite. Ex: Writes "Ur GF Loves U!" on my windows then an hour and a half later breaks up with me. WTF!!! :(

most of the stuff is pretty leight though. the heaviest things i can think of are the bumper(120), front skid(60), tenneau(which is actually real leight, maybe 50ls), and jerry can(maybe 50). that means that i have over 200 lbs in tools and other crap.

i don't know how, but the truck pulls my dad's boat nicely, and that thing's breaking 6000lbs when it's full of gas. the tires are gonna really get me though like you said

did it a few days ago, but here's a quick sketch of the rack design for the T100. his priorities are lights up front, a flood in the back, and enough room and carrying capacity to hold two kayaks and all of his fishing, hunting, and camping gear, the real challenge was figuring out how to make the mounts to allow it to work with his truck cap, but also allow him to take the cap off withough moving the rack. build starts soon.

i'm also starting up a website and getting a facebook page, i'll post them up when those are ready :)

working on a 2nd gen rack as i type.....

    the roof rack/light bar one?

that's the one thing i still haven't looked into yet, powdercoating. any high wear items i make will just be painted or bedlined so they're easy to touch up, but the stuff that won't be in harms way as much i'll offer podercoating on.

looks good, how does his cap attach to the bed? On my Bestop its clamped down. you could use a piece of flat steel that goes between the cap and the bed.

yeah, it just popped up when you responded. those are nice. my current one is kind of makeshift since i had to build it around my existing roof rack, and didn't have a welder at the time. the new ones i'll be building will be of a similar quality to his, just with some different design features.

the rack i'm designing right now will be built for my truck as a showcase for the company and some of the other products i'll be making, it'll be as high quality as i have receorces for. don't know if it's feasable at this point, but i'm looking into hydraulic tube benders.

right on with both points. his uses the standard clamping system. and i'll be using some thicker guage plate steel to make the pass under the cap. i haven't quite figured otu the best way to attach it yet though. i have some ideas, but it has to be real strong. it needs to be a high capacity rack that can handle bouncing around off road fully loaded
