Well guys...got reended after leaving Gander with my new High Lift.
Car was coming up behind me real fast and it was a red light so I started to slow down but realized he wasn't slowing. So I hit the brakes and held on and BOOM!

At first he said the car behind him hit him into me. Yet that car was honking it's horn and drove off. It was a brand new Mustang so I seriously doubt it would drive off much less have no damage from hitting a Derango into me.

Then he tried to say it was alright. His bumper went under my hitch and broke my hitch plug (which I got at Gander conveniently) and it scuffed up his bumper. He said it was no big deal and waved off the cop that stopped and asked if everything was ok.

So he drove off and I got to thinking what if he tries to sue me or whatnot. So I got his tag number and talked to a cop that was parking on patrol and he basically told me it was his word against mine and the way he sees it, he hit me, I have no damage and I have his tag so I couldn't have left the scene first.

Then at the gas station, some punk kid handed me a list with about 150 movies on it that he said he could burn for me. Was he looking to go to jail for copywright?

    People these days...

Hopefully this high lift is worth the exciting night I had. I even went over the limit on my credit card putting 93 in the truck for the drive tomorrow to be nice to it.

i used to use skype all the time, but then my graphics card or something fried, so whenever i was doing chat, my computer would blue screen and shut off. i just need to load it on the new computer.

When are you getting back? i think i'm ditching my tenneau this summer to build that bed rack, so mine will be up for sale. it might be a little more than what you're looking for though.

on another note....i might have to get a notcher. i just used the new tube bender on some 1''x.120wall steel tubeing, and it barely took two fingers to do it. it'll do up to 2''x.120 wall, which i was skeptical about at first, but not anymore. maybe i will be making sliders and tube bumpers in the future afterall.

also have an idea/design i've been toying with. you think there would be any interest in a rear shock hoop for the 2nd gen 6 lugs that would allow you to run a 2-6'' longer rear shock, depending on the final design. initial estimate is that cost would come in around $200-$250.
total chaos makes a kit like that for the 5-lug, that goes for $700. it's a long travel appligation though that is meant to run dual shocks and relocate where the bolt to the axle, which is why they are so much more. with mine, you'e get around 2-4 more inches or travel, depending on a couple outside variables. so what do you think, will people buy?

Anybody in the NE FL area know anything ab fixing motorcycles. I know that's kind of a broad area, but I found a bike for $500 and I'm interested to find out how much of a pain it would be to fix. The guy says it ran fine when he put it into storage 2 yrs ago and now it cranks, but won't run. Judges' ruling.

probably just bad fuel. if it is, best process is to flush out what's in it, run new fuel lines (usually pretty easy on motorcycles. if it's carbourated, brake that down and give it a good clean, and if it has a fuel filter, replace that. that would be my gues as to the fix. of course without actually toying with it, there's no way to really know.

that actually reminds me, i'm due to rotate the fuel out of my jerry can.

alex, just out of curiosity, what bike is it?
