I have had a few different kayaks most of them have all been 12' sit ins. My wife and i kayak in the intracoastal and in some of the rivers around here in jax. Like colin was saying the longer the better for distance kayaking. i do a lot of kayak fishing so mine have rod holders and stuff in them. My wife just went and got a new one a few days ago.

those are both pretty sweet! i'll have to add them to my list of considderations

that looks like a great tool to have. the ax i keep in my truck is great, but it's not something you really take on a hike.

i have a couple different options. i have a 4 person ground for most of my camping. for when i'm with a really big group, i take this:
10x20 feet. we fit 2 queen, and 2 double air mattresses in it with room to spare. if everyone was in sleeping bags, you could comfortably fit 15 people.

i'm also have plans to add a level inside my trailer so i can store stuff on the bottom and sleep on the top.

Damn thats nice! I was looking at bed tents and they seem pretty cool. Those toppers with the built insides for camping are sweet. But i'm not to big on camping just yet lol and done know if a topper would be a good add on to my truck.

colin the tomahawk is a great thing to take back packing. i cant count the number of times i wish i had a hatchet or something to take with me to hack up wood. this is a lot lighter weight than a hatchet or axe.

looks bad ass. I did business with cold steel a while ago when I bought my shovel, tomohawk, and axe combo and love it. Its small lightweight and well made. Came pretty sharp too. Well today in the mail I got a brochure for this website http://www.ltspecpro.com/ prolly gonna order some more shit lol. I need a knife (all purpose deal to keep in the truck) And wouldnt mind a dedicated axe for the truck too. But the company coldsteel was great and cheap. This company is a brothering company from what I read.

thats a sweet website. I have been looking for a fixed blade for awhile now. I looked at SOG and its just so expensive for one. I want a smaller belt knife that i can carry around at work. Most of those ones are alittle too long.

So I was looking around on Amazon and found some winches and got to thinking about getting one...

Now some say they are for ATV but they are rated 3500-4000 pounds. And stock my truck weighs 3,035 pounds so I'd imagine 3500 pounds would be good right?

And then the brand Champion I wasn't too sure about. So I picked out a few..

    Champion Winch- 4500 Pound Capacity

Superwinch 1135220 Terra 35 3500lb Winch with Cable

Superwinch 1145220 Terra 45 4500lb Winch with Cable

The two Superwinch say they come with cable and the Champion doesn't say if it does or not. The one review he kind of seemed like it came with everything.

    Opinions?

I'm not sure fink but I thought the rule of thumb for winch weight was the trucks weight times 1.5 so 3035x1.5= 4552.50 cause they factor in being in bad shit I guess with that 1.5 rule? Idk tho.

I think if you invested in those smitty built ramps youd be set bro. Cause when you were in that mud you just needed a little tug. Have you looked into those?

:edit: just looked at the prices  buy that shit!

don't you need something that is rated for at least twice your vehicle weight?

I really don't think those would work for ya.
