so i was prepping the truck all afternoon for the rausch creek wheeling trip this weekend, and i finally found where this horendous noise was coming from. turns out over the course of the last few wheeling trips, enough crap gut under the boot to the ball joint on my UCA that it was screaching every time i even got in or out of the truck. and driving was just terrible. had to take the UCAs completely off the truck, dissassemble the ball joints, clean them out, and regrease. the truck finally rides quietly again...sorta.

that should be plenty strong. i was rethinking the bedrack i designed for myself, and only going to use two legs per side instead of 3, so with 4/side on yours, you'll be able to load that thing until your bedsides crumple.

Yeah they look good. I just wonder how hard it is to get them clean? Probably now much effort.

Yea, after my atv trip to Ocala I want to get one. Don't want a shell and no need for a tonneau. And it would make camping that much easier, just need the air mattress and I would be good to go.

x2.... being from cali i def have to agree with this so many "bros" out there buy cheap ass rangers and tear into them. there are a few exceptions like this one that are just real clean and have had some real quality work done to them. i wouldnt mind having that one.

    personally:
    -dented skid.
-tore up the heat wrap on my exhaust (even though it's rerouted up inside the frame)
-couple minor slices in the tires
-big scrape on the passenger side of the rear bumper
-good number of gouges in the sliders
    -couple dents in the frame
-bent the lip where the transmission crossmember meets the frame.
    - broken hitch pin

so all mine's aesthecic, or not functional stuff

    other dammage we had was:
-tons or little scrapes and dents (the 4 runner got a good foot tall, 8 inch wide dent from a tree he slid into)
-broken diff (factory e locker broke and got stuck in lock)
-anyone with a stock skid not has a nice piece of modern art to hang on their wall.
-one guy bent the frame piece right below the radiator
-3'' deep gas in a KM2 (didn't fail yet, but he'll need a new tire)
-bent rear tube bumper on the 4-runner
-first gen came down off a rock right onto his tie rod and blew out the seat where t goes intot he rack and started leaking fluid.
-the solid axle cherokee with us kept smashing his diffs (one started leaking)
-he also started leaking from the front driveshaft side of the transfew case
    -a bent slider or two
-TONS of gouged rims, and one or two bent steelies

probably more that i don't know about, or people haven't found yet
