my mom's birthday :( told her i'd be around for it.

and i don't wear big boy pants....i find adult diapers work better, better because you can shit yourself when you think you're gonna roll it, and then just carry on as if nothing happens.

one more addition to the carnage from the trip. just heard from the guy driving the solid axle cherokee that he bent his chromolly rear driveshaft and couldn't go above 45mph all of the way back to new york. said it took him 9 hours

little update on more trail damage i found. there's a very thin piece of metal that is supposedly a guard on the transfer case. i must have come down on that a couple of times, because it now looks like a crushed soda can. i no doubt saved the transfer case though. i'm sure it'd be leaking if not broken otherwise. i also have some real nice scars on my gas tank. one decently deep one. however, i just talked to the guy i built the headach rack for. he's planning to stop wheeling his truck, and turn it into a tow rig and buy a trail only older toyota. so he's selling me his bud built gas tank skid for a great price. meeting up with himnext week to get it :)

oh yes. sooner than later hopefully. luckily, the IFS and gas tank skids are the hardest to make, so those will be taken care of. then i can make the transmission and transfer case skid. i'm actually thinking about making those two a single skid. we'll see though.

i also need to drop the ifs skid now, bang the dent out if possible, and reinforce the back side.

i'll take some pictures of all the damage tomorrow.

yeah, i have the old style that doesn't allow you to use the sway bar, but gives you a little more clearance. if you hit enough rocks you'll mangle just abotu anything. coil, the guy i'm getting the tank skid from, previously destroweyed an entire set of bud built skids.
i'm going to stay with the all pro becasue since i already have it, i can reinforce it to the point that it's stronger than a bud built or ato, but for less than a a new one of theirs. now if i didn't already have it, or it was completely destroyed, id go with one of theirs
