Had my truck at Toyota today to get the brakes done, they found an oil leak. Crank seal.

that is why your mpgs are crappy... honestly getting a full size truck to solve your fuel mileage problem is a pretty stupied idea.

That's not going to be accurate at all, if you actually want to know go and fill up your truck completely and reset your odo and drive for a bit, then go fill it up again just like you did before and however much gas you put in is what you will use to divide by the amount of miles you drove.

    Just ditch the 2nd gen.
I get over 20MPG and even flooring it, I can get up to 350 miles on one tank of gas.
A ford will just suck the gas. Even if you have a bigger tank, it's that much MORE dollar figure at the pump to fill it up. It'll look like your saving but you have to pay out a bunch more. It'll still be even. And with the insurance, it will jump up based on your age and 4x4. I'm rated on a 93 4x4 and my rates are high.

HIDs installed after breaking a battery terminal and wiring the ballasts upside down and cursing the truck's existence...

Makes me wanna convert the Hellas to HID also.
Going to shoot for the HID strobes tomorrow after school.

Jesse - for my speech class, I did an informative speech on why talking on the cell phone and driving is a bad idea.

A+'ed that bih cause the professor was old and agreed and loved my statistics.

Get a gps and see how much your speedometer is off.

I know a lot of people don't believe me but when my truck was stock height with 265/75's I could knock out 27 mpg if I drove like there was an egg under the pedal. After the lift and tires I could still get 23-24.

Jesse, a bigger gas tank is a stupid idea to trade the truck in. Let's do some hypothetical math. Say a Tacoma get's 20 mpg and has a 10 gallon gas tank, you would go 200 miles per tank, correct. Now, let's hop in the the Ford which get's 12 mpg and you have a 15 gallon tank. You're getting 180 miles per tank. What's the point. How hard is it to stop at a gas station?

Not to mention that Ford's are giant pieces of shit that have very well known cylinder head issues on the V8's that Ford never has or will never intend to warranty under any circumstances.

Costs me 65 bucks to fill up and I get 13 mpg average and I have a good paying job. Do you pay for the gas?
