only thing i wonder abotu is if the light is wired into a circut that will throw off something else, as in if i de-solder it, will it shut off the rest of the lights...

damn car companies do some weird things sometimes. too bad wiring diagrams for this stuff aren't redily available. i gues those could be considdered trade secrets though

 

incorrect. You can take it out. i have done it before and everything works fine. the only one that does that is the 3 for the ODO backlight. you can also take out the seat belt one too.

 

alright, good news.
i've wanted to get some different colored leds for my guages, so i think i'll disable the tire light and change the color at the same time.

in the mean time though, i did the math and can build a pressure vessle for about $10, so that should hold me over until the guages.

i cut a piece of aluminum out in the shape of the male end of the seatbelt, so if i ever need my belt off for some reason, i just pop that in and the light goes bye bye
i usually just use it wheeling ont he real slow trails where i have to hang out the window every 30 seconds to check where my front tire is in relation to a rock.

 

I can do you gauges whatever color you want. I think i still have some red, white, blue, and green. If you want other colors i can give u the website link.

 

i have the website link bookmarked, but whenever i have a free $20 to get the lights it seems to slip my mind, and it goes to something else lol. i'll probably do the numbers blue and leave everything else (needles and warning lights) as is. my head unit just looks too out of place when the only other thing that lights up blue is my 4x4 switch.

how many blue ones do you have?

Cant wait. I should be ordering all my lift parts and tires on the 29th, gonna have to get the truck off road some time after then.

The colder it is the better. I love camping during winter.
