Can you just put the sensors in the truck somewhere? I don't know why you don't have them on your tires

 

Jason! Got my new truck today man. Gonna be getting a CBI rear and sliders like yours. Are tours bolt on? How easy was install?

 

they aren't on my tires right now, which is why the light's going nuts. i replaced them with the normal rubber valves.

all i need to do is put them in a small pressurized container and keep it somewhere on the truck. one of the bed cubbies maybe.

get a high quality bit...our frames are a no fun to drill through.

 

Congratulations! You'll like the short bed when wheeling. My sliders are bolt on. To be honest, it was a pain in the ass to drill through the frame. I tried to do it with just 2 drill bits and that didn't cut it so I eventually had to go get a 3rd. I suggest you pick up a few extra, you could always return them. If you have a drill and use some redneck engineering it's doable but it takes forever. Now that I have mine bolted on I'm glad they are. I've already removed them once to strip the old bed liner and repaint them. You can mask off the truck but it's much easier to just remove them, especially when using paint stripper. I wouldn't want that stuff anywhere near the truck.

Pvc pipe and cap it on both ends. Drill a hole in it and fab a air valve. The pipe needs to be one of the bigger ones. We've done this with a emergency air supply for our hooker rig.

 

oh, that reminds me jason.....the issue of the bed liner coming off your sliders is a florida thing.....the bedliner on mine held up great in VA, even made it through 2 wheeling trips. only paint that came off was where they hit rock. however, come ocala, they got sandblasted. after repainting them they're good with road driving, but i figure the sand will unpaint them again next wheeling trip

 

i think i'm going to use metal, but essentially that same design.

Yo Ryan. School is going quite well. I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for asking. I try to make some time but it's more difficult with all the homework, not that I'm complaining, I just have to manage my time better.

So how are things with you? When in November are you going on deployment? You think you'll be around for Thanksgiving?

 

i think it's litterally just sandblasting it.....we must have a "smoother" dirt up north lol.

 

and and jason, i went against my own advise and added another course, bumping me up to 19 credit hours......my thoughts on it remain the same

 

Probably mostly that but I also think that the muddy sand is either acidic or basic.

You're crazy! I don't even think we can sign up for over 17 or 18 (hopefully Tony can tell us which). I'm only at 14 and I think it's a lot. I spoiled myself my second semester of senior year with only 10 credits and that was at a community college.

 

true. i'm taking a class next semester purely on soil, so i'll ask the professor what we have in our dirt around here.

my fingers are crossed for getting through this semester alive........i forsee many redbull nights ahead

 

Anyone have advice on buying used 4 wheeler and or dirt bike? Brands models and shit to stay away from? A ktm125 just popped up in my area for $1500.
