The little 1" cross pipe on the bottom of the brushguard on my truck is NOT a hilift point.

I don't know why I thought I'd try it but it's probably since I had just gotten the damn thing and both it and the truck was in the garage and I just went with it...

Needless to say that little pipe didn't like holding the weight of the truck so it's got a nice slope in it now instead of level

I always get nervous when I've used my highlift. It used to get stuck in the lifted position so I couldn't get my truck down. Now I always lube it before I use it.

 

A little off topic.... but I live by the same code.

Been busy with school and my grandpa passed away Friday and yesterday was the funeral. I havent found anything I like yet.

the money you spend on sales tax of a new car, or even just the price difference of the new car will be more than the amount of money you will save on gas.

 

True, my biggest concern is when I start college. Maybe I could find a provate seller that would trade even ???

or if gas money is that tight, then get a job to help your parents pay for it or you could even return your truck to stock, get highway tire (not all terrain) and live with it

IMHO I think it is pretty dumb to trade your truck in and get a car that will get marginally better gas milage. If you want gas milage get a Corolla or a Civic.

 

mine used to do that before i lubed the pins. if it ever happens again, just tap the body of the jack with a hammer/lug wrench/or anything else you have around. the shock releases the pins right away.

my bad, they're 37s as well. awesome build to read through. pictures of the 37s are on page 5. he's posted his truck on here before, but i couldn't find it for some reason.

 

I got those weights put on my truck when I had my tires put on.

 

i may have them use those when i getnew tires. every time i wheel rocks, i do this to at least one wheel weight. it's getting old.
