Florida cities, counties must take local gun laws off books

Orange County employees have started removing "no firearms" signs at county parks, and soon they'll probably black out the same words on brochures. Across Florida, similar scenes are being played out as cities and counties scour their ordinances to get rid of gun regulations by Oct. 1. That's when a tough new state law, backed by the National Rifle Association, will forbid city and county governments from enacting or enforcing local gun control regulations.

Florida was the first to give you "shall issue" laws for concealed carry and now we're the first to have consistent application of our gun laws across the entire state.

Not one park shooting yet but the gang trash is now missing from the city parks...I have open packed to my park and not one person called the police. Now all they do is ask that you cover it up.. Just a Fla. update... Jim

I'm confused. What did a U.S. Attorney in Miami do to affect Florida law?
