    Yeah thank god....

Because police don't have better things to do than harass someone legally carrying a firearm. Majority of police officers are stand-up men/women. You seem to be part of the minority that is power hungry and will go completely out of his way to use said power.

    shame shame shame.

The cops are only doing their jobs. Why are they getting the bad wrap here?

As far as they know, you're a criminal pretending to be a legal & law abiding citizen carrying openly who's ready to go rob/kill someone down the street.

Carry CONCEALED and you won't have these problems.

I've seen & heard far too many situations where pro-gun people have to push the issue with police and then decide to SUE police for unfair treatment. Yeah...Great...That makes the rest of us look like ASS and give the anti gunners more leverage.

I say go for it. A visible deterrent is great, a consealed one is great. If you are willing to deal with the added attention, have at. I've open carried and have been questioned by all types on my background and training and permits. I'm always up for conversation as it may enlighten somone. Sometimes it just easier to open carry. my .02

I feel better carrying concealed since I can get my firearm just as fast as an open carry. In a public situation, it makes me a target.

I hear all these stories of home invasions where the gun owner gets his own weapon turned against him yet to have the state mandate more training cause people to claim that it infringes on their liberty.

I have a healthy respect for firearms but i get uneasy when I am in a place where there are a lot of them. I am sure that when I am in a truck stop in the backwoods of FL, everyone in there is carrying but I dont need to see it. Just as you dont trust a stranger with your kid, or trust a stranger to drive your truck, I dont trust the average guy to be able to handle his piece properly.

it is unfair treatment...have you ever had a police officer put a gun to your head and threaten to murder you? once you have(if you live come back and share your feelings) i have absolutely no problem for a policemen detaining someone if they have a reasonable suspicion or probable cause...but to stop someone for carrying a gun in a legal location openly without more is not ok...and especially when the person committing no crime has a govt agent threatening to murder them for no reason

Open Carry is a Right, same as going to church, traveling across country, speaking your mind, petitioning the government...you should never be in fear of exercising a civil right...

as far as i know if youre driving down th street you might be drunk and planning to drive into a park and drive over a bunch of kid! i guess i should stop every single driver

that pesky 4th amendment sure is inconvient for police eh?? they should be able to write themselves writs of assistance and come right into your house...after all you might be cooking crystal meth and i dont want you doing that think of the children!!! oh wait we fought a war over things like that....and the birth place of American liberty is in Philly....pretty sad how things have turned out eh?

Glad some rights are being expanded while others (namely the 4th amendment) are constantly being squashed!

Anyone want to place a wager on it only being in the woods like I stated may post ago? Open carry is illegal out there as it sits but not too many people (including my self) will give two shits about what people in the sticks do. Hey lets give 2~1 odds on them shooting it down all together. Anyone in post their paypal.
