Citrus is rather large, lots to do. How far are you exactly? The max I would drive would be 2 hours unless your staying the whole weekend.

According to maps, it's about 175 miles away and a 3.5 hour trip. I'll be willing to stay a night of the place is good. There's also Ocala national forest. Has anyone been on those trails?

Is it worth hanging out with good people who are in to tacomas. Plus you can get stuck and you have friends to pull you out.

Awesome. Sounds like a plan. I'll most likely end up going. I haven't done any of the meets yet and want to play off road. Do you all camp there or stay at a hotel in the area? Thanks for all the info.

We camp Friday and Saturday nights at one of the Citrus campgrounds (this year it's going to be the Holder Mine campground, previously it was at the Tillis Hill site). Most people head home Sunday morning, but some stay and hit the trails for a little while.

Check the OP for the link to the meet thread.

I'm gonna try and make it out for the Holder Mine run. Y'all run FM radios or CBs. It will be my first time to a meet. We use to trail blaze and mud around here at home. But over the years subdivisions have taken over the woods. People wonder why kids get into the trouble they do now days and why there stuck in front of the tv on gaming systems. Well it's cause you have taken all the adventure out of the area with high end housing. Lol.

Well, I finally got around to yanking that busted CV axle I popped at Hardrock. Good news is, I managed to remove the dust cover that protects the inner axle seal and the transplant on to the old factory axle was provisionally successful, so I should be able to run the stronger factory CVs without destroying the axle seals now.

Bad news is, my floor jack took a crap so now I need to buy a new one. :bananadead::frusty::rant: That and I somehow managed to get water in my front diff so now I gotta change the oil in that (which isn't hard, it's just that I hate messing with gear lube due to that nasty smell).

And it takes forever to go away too, if it ever does. Gear oil and Aeroshell 33...those are the worst smelling lubricants in existence. :p
