Well, being a kid in school running his own business means I don't have much money to put into the truck. So, it's definitely a good platform.

Figured id paste this in all the florida threads to see who wants to go.
So here is what I'm thinking. If gulches is canceled by wednesday. I my brother and I already took off work so I want to do something. My thoughts are friday night meet at citrus. Do a night ride and camp. Saturday have a full day out there and then Sunday morning pack up and go to hardrock. Would anyone be down for that? Friday,Saturday the 18th and 19th at citrus, and Sunday the 20th at hardrock.

Sounds like a decent plan. The OGT won't be ready by then so I won't be able to make it. I do have this to suggest though...Hardrock with a truck full of camping gear is going to be kinda rough. Maybe do that on Saturday or something after you've set up camp. Or you could camp at Hardrock.

Hopefully all that rain that's flooding Texas and LA won't be hitting us here by then.

 

My tent and gear weigh about 50lbs and another 30 for the cooler. If every one else would be good for hardrock on saturday that would be fine with me. I just heard talk of sunday. I don't know which is better for @Rattletrap66 or @TAZ2014Taco or whoever else who wants to come..... I'm game for whichever. But I'm definitely camping

 

I'm in for hardrock Sunday. Not sure if Saturday would be possible yet for me

What time are we meeting at hardrock? And have you checked the weather?

 

Haven't yet. But I'm thinking around 10 or 11am

The Treasure Coast group is meeting at the Love's Travel Plaza in Fort Pierce at the Turnpike exit on 5/20 at 4:00PM for the drive up.

Do campground reservations need to be made in advance? Can we get into the campground after dark?

 

No reservations needed for Holder Mine. 2 vehicles per site and yes you can get in after dark just lift the chain off the gate

 

I'd talk to @Rattletrap66 , he planned out citrus ride. I just show up.
