This is the first time the Treasure Coast guys are gonna try to come up as a group (if I can get the others to go). I'll definitely be there.

Can't be any worse than west Texas in July.

 

It's fine if you're just out there riding the trails. It's the camping part that's going to be miserable.

Wait until the deer flies start eating you alive. Bring lots of Deep Woods OFF. It's pretty effective in keeping them away.

 

Liquor and nicotine infused sweat works too.

Yeah, not so much. I was heavily nicotined at a trail ride we did in June a couple years ago...no booze, granted...and the cabin of the OGT was full of deer flies (the A/C compressor was on it's last legs and I didn't run it off-road so we had the 2-20 A/C going) biting the crap out of us. I opted to give myself a good coating of Deep Woods OFF while my copilot abstained. It worked out for him though because just my OFF coated ass in the truck was enough to drive the deer flies out of the cabin.

Unfortunately, that apparatus doesn't do anything for the humidity. I have a hard time sleeping when things are damp, even if it's cool out. Granted, not as hard a time as I would if I was too warm, but still...

 

Any recommendation on the best place to meet up at Citrus?
