Florida Upcoming Meets - Ongoing List

Well there's that at least. I like that one, but very few of us have the cojones to attempt it.

 

That said, there's other spots that are fun, but not terribly challenging to run that it's unlikely they will close, mainly because they would have to close an entire trail to do it...not that they haven't done that before, but hopefully that's not a step they would take on a whim just to deny off-road enthusiasts. Specifically, I'm talking about trail 19, trail 11b on the south side of Stage Coach, and a couple other spots.

 

lets do a Scouting trip soon

 

I just feel the need to say it's a bit early to do a scouting trip. Gotta at least wait until after summer to call it a scouting trip since even if the FWC/Forestry Service doesn't destroy anything between now and Fall, the summer thunderstorms will change things a lot. Heck, it was even different between last year's Fall Camp & Ride and the Annual Meet in February.

By all means though if you guys want to take a day trip up there, somewhere, that works too.

What about the 21-23rd at Red Rock if the scouting report comes back good? A lot of us have kids and the 28-30th is Halloween weekend and it'll be hard to get away without pissing certain adult females in the family off.

The 21st-23rd works as long as we're willing to write off Croom. That's muzzle-loading weekend there. As far as I'm concerned the later in the fall we schedule it the better since there's a better chance of cooler temps.

 

I hear that. I've been to croom a couple of time when I had dirt bikes and I wasn't impressed with it. I'm interested to find out if you can camp at Redrock.

The bike park & hunting WMA are different areas but basically the same woods.

 

I'll go out there on Monday. I totally forgot about it. I have graduation this weekend so I'm a little busy.

It's worth it though lol

 

I've never been there, but the impression I got from what I've heard is it's one of those quasi-legal (i.e.: it's private property, but the owners haven't got annoyed enough to press the trespassing issue...yet) wheeling spots that mostly only locals know about. Sort of like A-pit and B-pit over by Hardrock. If that's the case, then I'd say camping there is probably not a good idea.
