Date for the Gandy beach meet is set, May 6th. I'll post more details about convoy meet point but plan is to be there around 930-1000

Your talking about Corbett I've never been there before because I've heard most trails are trenched out from the swamp buggies

Corbett sucks bad. South Florida is a mudders paradise. Hopefully my loathing for South Florida is showing. Anything in the glades is gonna be flat and muddy. Not really wheeling if you ask me. Anyone can do donuts in sand.

In fairness, mud does take some skill--as you saw with me back in October; someone that didn't know what they were doing would have been stuck in that hole I went through--but it's only really fun if you have the ground clearance, tire size, and horsepower to really play in the nasty stuff and you really can't use gearing to make up for lack of power like we do with technical wheeling because you need the tire speed for the tires to clean. Otherwise you have to play in the little stuff and look like a chump. :D

The real crappy part of playing in the mud is having to clean the truck afterwards. That sucks pond water. :frusty:

I get that. I used to love it, but I'm not much of a fan of it anymore either. I guess it's a sport for the young folks, lol. What really sucks is there's a lot more mud than technical wheeling in Florida. :pout:

South Florida is a cesspool. If I didn’t have to take an almost 6 figure paycut, I’d be out west in a heartbeat.

Pretty much any of the FSR’s in North Georgia are doable in 2wd. I did them in my stock prerunner a few years ago.

If I could (A) afford to and (B) had any confidence that the OGT wouldn't break instantly, I join you guys on some of those adventures. I just have to make due with Hardrock. If I can get to the point where I can survive a trip to Hardrock without breaking anything, I might feel confident enough to go out of state.

I think you break CV’s because you have too much grip with those wolverine claw tires.

The only solution there is to nerf the truck by downgrading the capability. Either I take the locker out of the front diff, or I put lesser tires on it. Neither option sits well with me. Now if they only made chromo birf cups/stub axles for 1st Gen CVs, I might be able to do something.
