Hi all, I'm having difficulty nailing down the right part number for a flowmaster 40 original series. I know muffler shops can do thier thing to accommodate pretty much any muffler, but I'm trying to minimize cost which means im trying to minimize any additional work they would have to do. Do you guys know the pn that will allow them just to cut the stock muffler out and weld in the new along with a short section of straight pipe? I Think based on what I've gathered, 8042543 may work which is 2.5" offset in/ 2.5" offset out, but I'm not 100% sure. Also, I've seen people install the muffler vertically, does this hang lower than stock? Anyone who can comment with first hand experience is greatly appreciated!
