Has anybody installed or heard this exhaust in person? I’m really thinking about dropping the dime on this but of course it’s hard to really tell the loudness and tone from a video.

Just judging by the size of the muffler (looks more like a resonator) I'd guess that's gonna be pretty loud. Should still be tolerable though as long as it doesn't drone at certain rpms

I had the full length version of that and just took it off after about a year. It has a really bad drone. If there was a middle ground between the OEM exhaust & this one i'd definitely consider it.

Just go with a 40 series from Flowmaster an find a good shop that can bend pipe / fix hangers / replace rubber pieces.

I don't remember which one I got. It's a flowfx but I got it off Amazon for like 50 bucks. Then slapped a cheapo resonator directly after that had a buddy weld it all up. It's not the most tolerable exhaust, but it beats the gaping hole in the oem muffler I had before. And besides for like 75 bucks I can't complain too much.

i put that same one on my 2003 montero minus the 3rd cat and it didn't seem that loud at all. Then again the mbrp on the tacoma is loud.
