    -sadly

The super44 with no cats, longtubes, and y pipe sound badass especially under idle/low load..... even a slight burble like open headers.

(dumped after axle and 3" exhaust)

Hey Justus, you happen to have any videos of how your truck sounds?

I've been listening to all the Flowmaster youtubes, and they truly make a unique signature sound that's totally different from Magnaflow.

Here is one of the ones that best demonstrates the difference.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ps8IDlHyfI

The Mustang sounds totally great with both, even though the exhaust notes are so different. At one minute watch how the Flowmaster sound waves are frequency focused enough to actually make the camera vibrate even though it's a long way from the car!

Im actually working on some clips.....

I have some gopro clips from the front of the truck, the back of the truck, inside, outside, and only 1 from a bystanders point of view but its probably a no-no vid cuz of the smokey burnout..... (mods feel free to delete)

Ill include safer vids later with more emphasis on sound........... this vid also has the longtube headers, urd ypipe, TRD blower, 3" exhaust, super44 center/center, and AFE stage 2 SI.

The next and further on vids will be the same except with the URD TCAI installed.

oh, and the truck wasnt that far away.......... I was just unaware of how FAR objects looked when captured thru a gopro (im still learning)

I have a flowmaster 40 on my 3.4 and like it over any other muffler. Magnaflows sounds way too ricey for me

i was at an idustrial area around 1800 and on a friday... culdesac for safety.

I talked to my neighbor lastnight actually and he said its not that loud, just sounds good and his dad thinks the truck is "badass" (he owns a stock taco).

I have these clips Im compiling of the truck cruising versus hammering down..... Its actually quite nice and barely any drone.

FAR LESS drone than my Original 40 series with all cats, N/A, and 2.25 piping

    That's good to know.

I found this cool video that shows how Flowmaster mufflers are made. It's a fascinating process. And something I didn't know, the tolerances of baffle placement need to be precise to cancel out just the right sound waves.

Here's a video of the manufacturing facilities in California. Pretty effing impressive American company. :)

Checked the tracking... the muffler comes on Wednesday. I'll post some detailed pics.

Your truck has the exact set up I want on mine and it sounds exactly as I hoped. I just don't know if I want to drop at that money into cause most of it voids the warranty :(

Definitely, I've been here a while but you're right, there's the veterans to tacoma world that don't talk out the side of their mouth. I know my stuff about cars and trucks, but my real world experience is in a subi build, rebuilding an 89 K5 Blazer, and an 07 rubicon. This truck is kind of a new animal to me

Thanks. What about sound? What do most prefer? I have a magnaflow on my truck now but not really impressed with the sound.

My 68 Mustang has dual magnaflows on it and sound really good. So I bought a 22" magnaflow and had it welded on the tacoma. It sounds really deep and. No droan and not loud at highway speeds. But really sounds like power when I floor it.

I have a 18" magnaflow now and to me it only sounds good when flooring it. I've been thinking about switching to flowmaster since everyone says it's a deeper throatier sound. I'm not too concerned about power as much as good sounding exhaust. I know it'll never sound like a v8 though.
