Flowmaster?

    found a muffler shop across the road from where im staying and he said he will sell and install a flowmaster exhaust or 175$. Is that a good deal. he said its really loud:D. but i dont want it to affect my gas milage. will it kill my milage? is it a good deal?:confused:

    Sounds really high. Those mufflers don't go for more than 60-80 bucks, and install shouldn't cost more than ~50. Then again, you are in Hawaii, and I know everything is balls expensive there. Maybe a local can chip in.

    actually im in Cali right now. I just bought my truck here:D Hawaii would probably be more:(

    Also what type of cold air intake is better K&N or AFE and is it worth the money to buy a throttle body spacer? i heard these mods improve yours gas milage.

    - OME 881s, Dakars + D43XL - Custom front tube bumper - 33x10.5R15 BFG KO2s - Deckplate mod + Airaid intake tube + AFE reusable air filter - Aero Turbine 2525 exhaust, chopped before leaf spring - Toyota Horns emblem by Diaz Fabrication - BOSS CarPlay head unit, 500W amp + 12" Pioneer in ported box - camper shell
    AFE is "better" IMO. they are dry which means no oil to gunk up the MAF. and to clean them all you need to do is wash it in warm soap and water.

    throttle body spacers are better served as paper weights. they worked on older, carbureted engines but have little to no improvement in a modern EFI engine.

    That sounds about the price of a catback exhaust. if they are just gonna weld a flowmaster on there it shouldnt cost more than $100.

    Flowmaster is defintely louder, but at idle its pretty quiet at idle and mine doesnt drone much on the freeway either... Best sounding muffler for the 3.4 IMO
