Fluid change insight on new-to-me tacoma

    I change all the fluids when I buy a vehicle as I did with my current Tacoma.
    Don't go overboard. OEM oil filter and any good synthetic oil will be fine. I change oil and filter every 5K. Sometimes a bit more or less. Fumato valve a big help.
    Drain and refill radiator. Didn't flush system. Drain and refill differential.
    I had my auto trans serviced by a Toyota dealer and they f'd it up. In retrospect, I would have drained the ATF and replaced an equal amount. If you want a pro to do it, find a good transmission shop.
    If money is wanting to jump out of your pocket and into your new truck, buy an OBD II module and a phone app like Torque or Fusion to see how it's running.
