    Hello everyone,

New guy here and have a question. I've search the forums and have not found my answer. I want to start doing my own maintenance on my 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport in an effort to increase my knowledge and also to save money. Is there a list of when to change all the different fluids in the vehicle. Looking through the owners manual is doesn't really go into detail of when to change things.

The maint. schedule that came with your owners manual should tell you when to change oil and that coolant/transmission fluid are good for 100K. There are countless threads here and on other forums that will tell you to follow the advise in the owners manuals and others that say to change more frequently than advised by the mfg.

Many people go by the mfgs. maint. schedule and get long life out of there vehicles. Others adhere to a more classic view and change fluids/filters more frequently than advised by the mfg.

If you are the kind of person who swaps out vehicles every 4-5 years, you could easily get away with following the mfgs. maint. schedule. If you drive 'til the wheels fall off, you might want to perform maint. more frequently than advised in the mfgs. maint. schedule.

Many more opinions will follow I'm sure.
