Been quite a few asking if the '18s still having various low fluids as seen on some of the '16s and '17s. Just finished today checking mine.......
'18 Sport AT, made in Mexico 01/18.... now reading 1463 miles

    1. Rear diff was 1/4" low. Ok w me as going to be changing the fluid at 4-5k anyway.
    2. Transfer case. Remove plug, fluid flows out fast. OK.
    3. Front Diff was 1/4 low. OK.
    4. AT trans fluid. About 100 ml low. Basically OK/full. Used the paper clip in the OBD port
method outlined in rowsdower's post. Transmission has been shifting great.
    5. Re-torque prop shaft bolts. Should be 65#. Both front and back were 60-70#'s. OK.
    6. Lube prop shaft. Both zerks on the front shaft were LOW. Ea took 10-14 full pumps from a
15" gun (thats a lot of grease) to show old grease purge.
    7. Hood bracing adhesive check. It's a Sport so seems not as critical as the OR's but all
seemed bonded well as could see.
    8. Re-torque leaf spring U-bolts. Spec is 52#. Found to be a little lower. Took'm to 60-65#.

All in all looks like, with the exception of the driveshaft zerks, this '18 was in pretty good fluid shape.....So far pretty happy w the truck. My third Taco ('99, '07, '18) first AT. Happy w the AT so far. Very smooth shifting up and down. Better mpg than expected. Only 1500 miles on the truck so far. First 4 tanks were 22.9(22.4), 20.5(21.8), 22.7(21.7) and 22.5(21.3)....first # is hand calc # and the (...) # is the comparable dash reading...... 50/50 city/hwy light foot driving ....

Yup...Got the V6/AT....All '18 V6's automatically have the tow pkg unlike earlier models where it was a 600$ option.....

Just checked the transmission level on my 17 built in August. At 98 degrees I put maybe a half a cup in it. I figured at 113 degrees it would drip out so in my opinion it was full. Fluid was very red and clean. Used carista with fusion on my iPhone to check temp.

Where are the zerks for this propeller??

On your truck, front driveshaft only.

4x4's have a front and rear driveshaft. Front driveshaft has a zerk on each end.
If can't find use a flashlight and it'll show but it's in there. Tough to get a gun fitting
on them but it will go on......
Rear driveshaft no longer had greasable fittings... sealed.

I found one of them rather easily, but is the other zerk under a cover that needs to be removed by chance toward the back portion of the front driveshaft ?
