Every year on my old T-100, I would spray lubricating oil, something a little heavier than WD-40 into the weep holes on the pinch seams on my rocker panels and cab corners. I just sold it this last fall but at 20 years old, they were still solid. I neglected the doors so the driver's side was starting to rust a little at the bottom.

I've been doing that with my 2014 Tacoma as well. Today, I decided to try out a can of Fluid Film I bought recently. I sprayed it in the weep holes of my doors and access cab doors.

    It smells like ass.

I know it will fade in a week or two but in the future, I'll reserve the Fluid Film for the frame and stuff outside of the cab.

Damn......it smells like the neighbor's dairy farm......

    Nobody warned me either.
Plan on smelling that mess for awhile, at least it's the time of year to leave the windows down!

    I'm done with fluid film.
7 years of use, approximately 30-40 cans sprayed, ($300-$400) and my frame STILL failed inspection last month.

I got some FF on my muffler, went to the store right after I sprayed it. I stop at a light and this car pulls up beside me, now there’s smoke and stink coming of my muffler. The lady looks over at my truck and me,shakes her head and rolls up her window. The light turns green and she was gone!

Fluid film works but it stinks. I was just at a sheep and goat farm yesterday and they smell way better. Wait until it gets hot and humid... I did the same treatment to may 2013 and it took several weeks for the smell to subside.

I like the smell, except on the exhaust. Made that mistake as well.

I always have a can on hand but I've never used in as a rust preventative. I'll have to try that this winter

I'll take a few weeks of a "stinkyo_O" truck to gain years with the truck.

Gear oil smells like dead fish, FF is made with Lanolin. Often used by nursing mothers to relieve nipple chapping:)
