Wow! I always heard good things about this company. That is a disaster. Thanks for sharing this.

Have you ever flush it out before?

Well since I got some time..... I flush the frame every spring then fluid film in fall. I got my 04 in South Carolina 3 yrs ago. When I first got it here in MA,
I flushed the frame, painted the interior of all the square sections with the green eastwood internal frame coating, then wire brushed all welds and the few areas of surface rust then painted those with a brush and eastwood rust converter. Then I painted the hole frame as best I could (applied it with a rag and stick on top, because I did not remove the bed) with black rust bullet paint. Finally I fluid filmed the crap out of it and do that every fall .

I just hope I got that area mentioned , good enough with flushing and coating......

Kind of obsessed with preventing rust but it was my first free vehicle and I've been fighting rust in cars and trucks my whole life. The other incredible benefit of using Fluid film is that usually it seals the area where bolts go into nuts and clips and situations like that and seal out the salt water. It makes things come apart much easier when replacing / upgrading parts. I can't believe how easy stuff comes apart on my truck .

so you have not ever experienced the original internal coating peeling off inside (for whatever reason it does idk yet)
that happened the first time i flushed mine out last year and now i have a bit of a mess on my hands :(
i can definitely use some help with it

To be honest, I don't know if the green internal coating is flaking or falling off. I probably wouldn't because it is all mudded up with fluid film if it is. I don't have a boroscope. Would like to get one. It might not be able to stick good on your frame, and if thats the case, just keep it coated with FF.

But i am gonna look real close at that area mentioned and see if I can figure a good way to flush it oul

Yes I still am in contact with Eastwood tech help to see if the internal frame coating product will adhere well to naked steel with minimal if any rust present idk lol
If not I will need to find another coating to spray inside to seal it up good as can be
