Whats up guys. Im leaking fluid in my passenger side thought i just spilled something. Read around and all point to a heater core leak and it sound expensive. My coolant is kind of low but its been 3 yrs since i did a coolant flush. I do get a musty odor from time to time when the heater is on.

Im gonna experiment something this week and put absorbent pads on the passenger side, top off the coolant and run the heater from time to time to confirm.

Any other ideas is welcome. Also read to run a wire or zip ties on the hose but dont know which one lol. Pics will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Checked my coolant before i went to work this morning and it was below the low line. I put water in it for now until my coolant comes from Amazon later.

You did not ID the fluid. Coolant or just something wet and clear?
I once had a Corolla that had a cabin air filter that I did not know about.
Hot spell driving along the coast and the AC was barely cooling and restricted flow of air.
Pulled over and found , with the help of the owners manual, the filter was clogged but the reduced flow caused the coils to ice up.
The drive home the ice melted and dripped on the passenger side.
    Smelled musty also.

Might be coolant. Its pink. Going to clean the rubber mats and put a white absorbent pad. Going to top off the coolant tonight and run the heater tomorrow and see if any leaks come out. Looked at the glovebox its bone dry so as the area around it. Hopefully its a spill but cant remember what kind.

If the overflow tank in the engine compartment is pink then it IS coolant. Probably time for a new heater core.Any fogging of the windshield?

No fogging. Just toped coolant off. No leaks with the ac and heater off. Will run the heater later on the way home.

If it is coolant it doesn't matter if the heater is off it will still leak. The coolant still circulates even with the heat turned off. I think you have a backed up condensate drain tube.

Locate the hose where it exits the firewall under the hood on the passenger side. Poke a tye wrap or a stiff plastic stick or ... up into it and see if anything starts draining out.

Run the air conditioner on high and watch to see if liquid flows out, it should.
