After losing my waders to a rat and not catching any fish all afternoon I was just about to head home disappointed and then this guy came out of nowhere. Not a bad way to end the day.

I also have the freestones, good wader for the price. Also left them in the garage over the winter, I'm pretty much expecting to be in the same situation. Should probably check that out soon, and not find it the morning I want to go fishing...

I think I have decided to get those. I have a pair of Hodgeman waders that I use when duck hunting that I used today. They aren't great for fishing because they are thick, non-breathable, and have a boot-foot that do not do good on the rocks. I hope yours haven't been chewed up too.

That's why mine live in the truck bed during season, then in a Tupperware bin when stored. Learned that lesson a few years ago.

At least you get to get new ones now. I bought a pair of frog togs salmon fishing this year cause I didn't want to spend major money, as my old ones started leaking and needed replaced. I'm happy with them so far.

If you do not know, you can send you waders back to the manufacturer (Simms or Patagonia) and they will repair for a modest fee.

Yup. They arent a year old yet, so Im gonna wait til I do some major damage to them to send em in to take advantage of the free first repair. Id much rather chase pin holes with Aquaseal. Ill send em in when the booties start leaking.

Yup. I hang my gear up for a day or 2 to dry in my basement, then everything goes right back in the tub in the truck.

    Also, gorgeous 'bows.

I thought it was the pinhole but the patch is dry.

I've never had good luck patching my breathable waders, but I've never had an expensive set either.

I finally got to do a float/leak test on the drift boat build.

I'm very pleased. I don't have any oars, so I couldn't take it down the river.

I was wearing my waders while I had it in the water. I was purposely trying to capsize it by trying to pull myself into the boat while in the water. The thing is very stable. I was happy to find that out.

I had a pair of Orvis silver line waders with a leak, used the patch kit that came with them, worked well. I got two more seasons out of them, after seven years they were done.

Good Job! How are you going to finish the interior/exterior?
