Sunnies, fight hard for their size. So do rock bass. One river I fish they crush the fly as soon as it hits the water!

Oh, I fished damned near everything in every way I could. I was fishing a local super SUPER pressured FFO stream full of stocked fish that have seen everything thrown at the them. Not super bummed I couldnt fool em.

Hopefully tomorrow I can shake the funk

The TCA sections of our local streams are like that. Fished 8 hours and got 1 trout and 2 sunnies. i tried eveything i had with me. i think i spent more time changing flies then fishing. But it's a great place and i enjoy just being out there. I can never wait for the cold beers in the truck i bring a flask with me

I have ZERO self discipline.

Picked up this today in the bargain cave (new) at my local Cabelas for $99. It's my second 8'6" 3 wt. I learned to fly fish on a slow/moderate rod, so I'm looking forward to trying it out on native brook trout starting in early September. Paired it up with a Cabelas Prestige Premium #1 Reel (FYI - those reels are made for Cabelas by Lamson & I have those reels on all my 5 wt rods and they are fantastic and also come with a lifetime warranty).

Also stopped at a garage sale in the neighborhood and picked up all of these for $5.

I picked up this Hyde sportsman yesterday off of Craigslist for $2,000

    12 footer 2 man boat.

My first boat and I am pretty darn excited to get it out on the water!

Came with everything you would need and is ready for some river action. Pfd's, oars, anchor and tilt trailer

Definitely a lot of what look like sculpin patterns with zonker strips^^

Anytime I find flies at yard sales or antique shops they're ridiculously overpriced

They all seem very nice. They're big - definitely need the 6 wt to throw these. I'm thinking I'll try them out on some of the larger rivers with a sink tip line.

Nice find, 2k is a good deal for a drift boat I haven't found one under 4K yet, and that's too much for me to spend for the amount of use it would get.

I had been searching for a while. The guy sold this boat in 4 hours since he posted it. Got over 12 offers from multiple states on the east coast.

There was no time to think haha!
