I rarely fish dries or streamers. Euro nymphing just works for me and is how I prefer to fish. Get low and dredge the bottom with a tight line with no indicator and mostly with 3 nymph rigs. my weapon of choice. 10ft. 3wt. Helios 2.

Some shots from my last trip using this technique.

Also anyone looking to get into euro nymphing I highly suggest spending to 20 bucks and watching this film. The full feature can be purchased on vimeo

This guy came up and busted the chubby on the top this morning (you can still see it in his mouth in the second pic). Had another one do the same, but he wrapped me around a stick and broke me off

For those of you in the south east, these in size 16 and 18 have been consistently on fire the last month or so if you can get them low in the column. Electric Prince in chartuese.

Where's this at? I've fished in Blue Ridge a few times over the past few years and loved it there.

    It's...in Blue Ridge :)

I can't give out my spots. There are a few different ones though.

No biggie. Some of those fish come from the Toccoa. Some come from Noontootla Creek. I've got a friend that has some property along the creek they allow me to fish. There are basically 3 people that get to fish it.

Are these wild fish or stocked fish? Not the typical size fish for this part of the country unless you're fishing a tail water? Either way, they're nice fish.

Most waters here are stocked. The environments are hard for the fish to reproduce here.

That said, some of them I've caught this size have been wild. This latest one was probably stocked years ago and it's just a hold over. They're starting to find a way to take hold in some spots and reproduce. This particular stream hasn't been stocked in 7 years that I know of.
