The same shit everyone else has.
Saturday, I went looking for wild browns in local stream that I had a good feeling about.

Found a few, found some stocked ones too, and about 50 brookies.

My mini elk hair chubbies were a hit. Im about 90% happy with them. Ive got the pattern pretty much down to where I want it but the dubbed underbody gets water logged way too fast. I tied another batch of them without the dubbed underbody, we'll see what those do next weekend.

They stock a stream that has natives in it?

    Welcome to PA...

"Resource First" is the PA Fish and Boat Commission’s motto, yet they have no problem stocking hatchery fish over top of both native and wild fish. There are a ton of streams in PA that support natural reproduction that get stocked. Its a shame because a lot of the streams could turn into something special. (The Little J comes to mind instantly)

Trout fishing is a big business here in PA....

If it's not designated as a Class A wild trout stream, it will get stocked.

Happens in NC too, unfortunately. All for the people who would be completely happy catching fish out of a barrel.

Yup. Those people fish for the first 2 weekend of trout season and hang up their gear for the next 11.5 months. Im all for put and take fisheries, just not where there are wild trout. Stock marginal fisheries that dont support natural reproduction.

Class A's get stocked too. One of my favorite streams recently became a class A wild brown stream, they're not gonna stop stocking it.

Not had a lot of chances to fish this year. Enjoy it when I get to though!

Anybody watching this thread have a one of the small drift rafts? Like a flycraft or the stealthcraft hooligan? I'm interested in getting one this winter (likely the hooligan, saw it during last winter's show). I've been emailing any guides I see using one, but I'm suspicious of their comments (considering they likely got a huge break on buying one).

Specifically I'm wondering how well they fish when it's just me. I currently have a pontoon boat, and would like to replace with a craft that'll bring a friend (or maybe 2). A drift boat is out due to price and usable launch/take-outs here in NH (much easier with one of these small rafts).

Went out yesterday and got a few wild brown and bows for supper. This and a few more on olive stimulators. Then several on black and green crazy leg nymphs. The brown are really active now with the spawn coming on.

I have an aire super puma (same length as hooligan) and like any inflatable it's difficult to drift and fish solo if theres any kind of wind lol
That hooligan looks pretty cool as a pure fishing machine but seems less versatile as a fun maker than a traditional raft/frame cuz no whitewater rating and u can't haul as many people as a paddle raft setup

There's a less than zero chance I'll be doing any kind of non-fishing whitewater in the raft. So it's a 100% fishing vessel.

I thought about getting one of the Aire products and then a frame, but then realized I'm quite lazy to figure all thought out.

Gonna cost almost as much as a drift boat between the raft and frame lol
