Just exploring the new back yard. I haven't fished much due to warm water temps since I pretty much only catch and release. I don't want to be killing fish! Temps are starting to drop and I am ready to rip some lips. Hoping to land some big bull trout before winter hits.

Lows have been in the 40s here and I flipping love it. I want to hit the creek again now that the temps have dropped. Maybe I can kill a deer in the morning and just go fish until rifle season

Had a fun week so far. Camped at Savage River State forest and caught some brookies in the upper branch, then I fished some streams near me in PA the last two nights and finally got into some consistent fish. All of them were caught on my tenkara, really starting to love fishing with that thing

Just about done with the drift boat project. I should have things wrapped up so I can get a bit of salmon fishing in at the end of the month. Here is a quick, 1st take, YT vid I made. Pretty raw and uncut, but you will get the idea. I do need to put together a build thread. I'll worry about that once I actually finish the thing.

I plan to use it this fall, then work on the paint/coating over the winter.

Thanks! Surprisingly no on the dslr, just picked up a canon m10 with the selfie screen specifically for fishing pics and I've been thoroughly impressed so far. Wanted something capable of good quality but ability to see what im shooting and a timer since i fish alone. This has fit the bill perfectly.

Nice fish and pics. Sorry about the rod.

I went out for salmon yesterday and today. Buddy and I were really excited to get fishing. We was excited to use his new rod he had purchased for the occasion. We got there at one, fishing by 1:15. My buddy was so excited, his hands were shaking putting his rod together. We start fishing, he gets hung up on his second cast, he tries to get un-hung, put a little pressure on it, rod snaps!!! He was not happy, had to walk back to the truck to get his back up.

He did better than I in the end and landed two kings. I had fun and had the opportunity to play with 20+ kings, and a few coho's, didn't land any though. The first king hit my fly so hard that it damn near ripped my rod out of my hands.

Went out for dolly's and rainbows yesterday with a few people and the trout fishing was relatively slow so I decided to see if I could have any luck with the silvers I saw all over the place. I was walking back to the raft to grab my 8wt and couldn't help myself and casted one time at a couple of silvers I saw with the 5wt I had been using for trout. Of course I hooked up and had a hell of a time trying to land a good sized silver with a way undersized rod in very high water. Had a much easier time once I switched over to the 8wt. I was so anxious to be fishing I didn't even take off that sweet borrowed life jacket I had on while we were floating :D
