Silver creek preserve in Idaho and green river Utah, anyone in Washington wanna get out and fish hit me up!

Hint... don't bring a stiff six weight for big picky fish on a spring creek... lost too many monsters from the rod (and my impatience) breaking 6x tippet.

Brought my fly rod with me today...but forgot my fly boxes.

I might have a fly or two laying around in the truck. I’ll have to see when I get down out of my tree stand

Ugh. Seriously. I fished all weekend in north central PA and everything was a trickle at best. I bumped into a conservation officer and he was saying hes never it this bad. No rain for over 3 weeks in that area.

Id gladly skip a weekend of fishing in trade for a good week of soaking rain. If the rain doesnt happen soon, its really gonna screw up the spawning here. I came across 1 set of fished paired up this weekend but that was it.

i was in northern NJ at the big flat brook it was really low too. Most of the water was only ankle deep and the pools had little to no current it was like fishing in a pond.

Returned Sunday from 4+ days of fly-fishing in Maine's Baxter State Park. Fishing was very poor due to the extremely warm pond temperatures (70+). September was the warmest on record. Fish were still sitting on the bottom around spring holes and we weren't going to try and dredge bottom to catch them. Even with temps Thu & Fri night in the upper 30's, there was no affect on the temps. Need many cold nights & rain to get things back to "normal". Still a fun trip with amazing scenery.

So Simms decided to start making boot foot waders. And they’re $800. Wtf.

Seems like a normal Simm's price. Figure G3s are 500$ and the Headwater boots are 200$, then 100$ to connect them together.

Ugh. I need to clean my G3s up this week and send them back to get fixed or replaced (hopefully) still. The zipper on them broke last weekend rendering the front pocket useless. Its starting to get too cold out to wear leaky waders.

I switched to dryft and won't look back. Look a hell of a lot better than all other waders in the market too.

I'll never go back to simms or patagonia. The price, quality and looks are just on point with the dryft. Currently have the primo front zip. About to retire my tired Patagonia wading pants too for some dryft ones.
