I will get out this spring with each setup, just to make sure they all work nicely together. I'll switch things up if needed.

These are by no means high end Hardy's. It's their entry level line that's now discontinued.

Just got in on pre order for Denver outfitters rod vault. Looked at several different kinds and this one is just built right. Have to wait until spring as they are super backordered but save 80 bucks in shipping because I can drive to denver to snag it. How do those of with a rod vault like it so far?

I've heard they're unreliable with product production & delivery.

I've see a few of them and they seem to be a quality product.

Yea. There is no doubt they having some production timeline problems. Which almost steered me in Another direction. But the completed product is really hard to beat. You just have to wait a pretty long time. I'll keep using my 15 dollar PVC unit with hair ties in The mean time.

Also - of the three I've seen (from the new owners/group) - two had the plastic lining/insert in the tubes and one did not.

Struggling! Good news is I'm not getting it shipped. I can pick up and inspect before taking it with me.

Mine is top quality and I've had it on top of the truck for 5 months now. They shipped mine right at the time they said they would. You will have zero regrets about your purchase!

My buddy in Crested Butte who has one said the same thing. 299 is a good price if you can wait it out. I've had a pvc homemade set up for 5 years and I can go another several months with that. Can't wait to be able to stop on way home for a beer and not have to de rig

The same shit everyone else has.
    Thats a lotta PBRs.

I unzip and roll up my Bestop back window and let the 9' rods hang out over the tailgate. A 7'6" rod fits diagonally in the bed

I like my Rod Vault... But there are definitely some improvements that could be made.

My 8-9 weights reels just barely fit in the box. And the tube diameter just barely clears the oversized stripping guides on my 8-9 weight rods. Would it be too much for them to increase the tube diameter an extra 1/4 or 1/2 inch??? And to make the box an a little taller and longer???

And that damn wait... I prepaid and they were several weeks behind on their already ridiculous 6 month lead time!

I take 3 rods out on the boat - floating, intermediate, and a sinking line... It's nice not having to re-rig 3 rods every time. I did the break down in half and put them in the backseat for a while, but I was always worried about them breaking one way or another.

I may actually go out tomorrow, checking the weather now. Wish I don’t have to work today, would have been a good day to get out. I bet some BWO’s were hatching with the sun and 56* temps.
