One of the best days of flyfishing I had was for catfish with worms and a strike indicator(bobber for nerds). My buddy and I giggled for hours and fought some tough fish. We promised we wouldnt tell anyone else in case we lost our flyfisherman status. Used barbless hooks though. Keepin it real. Fishin is fishin is fishin.

Was told this was to expensive for a gift, but my wife surprised me for my birthday. Pretty excitedly to give it a shot.

I'm trying to motivate myself to hit the creek by my house. Usually can find smallies, pumpkinseeds, and chubs/carp, just not sure how the fish handled this weird winter

    Getting to be that time....

    Spring trout stocking

MassWildlife will stock nearly 500,000 trout this spring. Stocking is scheduled to begin in the southeast during the first full week of March, with other regions to follow soon after.

    From a few pages back...

40$ for the CGR is a great deal for a fun 'glass rod. I own 2 of em and forced myself to not order more when the price dropped.

I might try to get my LLbean reel spooled this week, snow was gone now its back to around 18" on the ground, it keeps packing down and we are to get warmer 40-50 degree weather so hopefully it melts quick.

One of my favorite fishing spots in the Texas Hill Country. Stocked trout in the winter, native Guadalupe Bass and LMB throughout the year.
