    Great shots!
Tell me more about the Liska in comparison to the Mayfly. I like the lighter/smaller comment.

    Thanks.

The Liska is about a half foot shorter and about a inch less wide. But, it ends up being about as stable. It is almost 10 pounds lighter.

It is going to have footpegs which can get tangled in your fly line. You can remove the footpegs and do without them or press your feet against the console hatch.

Make no mistake, there will be a few compromises with the Liska when it comes to fly fishing as it is an all-around kayak. And while the Mayfly was designed for fly fishing, there were no more compromises made to use conventional fishing gear on the boat. The trade off is, the Liska is $500 cheaper than the Mayfly. So, Mayfly is the ultimate fly fishing kayak that is also great at all other types of fishing. The Liska is a "Mayfly light", but was designed to be a less expensive all-around stable boat. There will be no issue standing and casting flies in the Liska. However, the deck just isn't a clean as the Mayfly. I hope this helps.

I was just fishing out of my hobie for the first time today and I defiantly over looked all of the things in the console that snag the line. It’s fine while standing but if I try to sit and fish, I was constantly catching on everything. I seriously wish I would of seen the Jackson mayfly sooner. But I really love the peddles on the hobie for getting around.

The same shit everyone else has.
Knocked the dust off the 5wt today and threw slutbusters (articulated slumpbusters) at some pellet heads in the rain. First time fishing articulated streamers with a ton of success.

Swung some small leech patterns on the D today. These redsides are scrappy for their size.

    Used a 3wt 11’3” Trout Spey.

Agreed. I've fished it since I was a kid. We kayak it several times a year

You cats from Oregon have the coolest plates.

After fishing a bit on the Au Sable today, I got behind this car at a stop light. He turned into a gas station right after. I did too. I asked if I could take a pic of his plate? He said no problem, he was really proud of the plate and was happy to see others appreciated it.

I asked if he minded if I posted this pic. Again, no worries.

Showed the pic to the wife and told her this needed to be my next addition to my plate collection.IMG_20180506_153425.jpg

Thanks and yes it is. It’s the 3d in a 5 weight and I absolutely love it. Tried the 3f too which is a great rod too but the d is where it’s at. I’m thinking of buying the recon in a 8wt for carp and bass. How do you like yours?
