Doc, I’d take you to all my good spots, cause there is zero chance you’d drive back down to fish them by yourself.

    Disappointed, but not surprised.

Cabela's is no longer life time warrantying their fly rods. 90 days with a receipt.

Too many people were taking advantage of the system.

Can't really say I fault Bass Pro Shops for removing the warranty.

I liked that Cabela's had the best warranty even if I've never actually had to use the warranty.

My first rod (a Dogwood Canyon from Bass Pro) is kicking just fine nearly 15yrs later. I've upgraded to the Orvis stuff (apparently i like throwing my money at them, LOL). But i tell you what i've been most impressed with is the Echo Base stuff. it's well made, and they have a great warranty!

My understanding was the warranty changed for everything, not just fly rods.

I have a good sense of direction!! I’ll just take a pic and get the coordinates from it, and figure it out from there!!!

This is correct, but I wanted to stay on topic. Plus I am on my phone I tend to be terse.

I live near one of the Cabelas. You would see people buy complete canoe set ups before holiday weekends, then return them next week. Those people ruined it. Their warranty was the reason I bought a lot of their brand. I might consider others now.

Have heard stories about people at LLBean doing that. Think it was @Sig45 that posted that up once.

I do realize that you wouldn't be carrying a can of Flexseal in your kit. :anonymous:

Which patagucci’s do you have? Are they the newer versions? My shit Simms have been leaking like crazy and I’ve heard good things about the newly improved Patagonia’s.
